Unlock Bootloader of Google Pixel: Google recently launched it’s latest flagship smartphone known as Google Pixel XL. It sports a 5-inch Full HD capacitive touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 paired with 4GB of RAM, 32GB / 128GB of internal storage but lacks with a microSD slot.
It sports a 12MP Auto-focus rear camera with IMX231 sensor and has an 8MP front-facing camera. Othwer than this it is equipped with connectivity features like 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11, GPS and has a huge 2,770 mAh battery for a long battery life.
Since the launch of the Google Pixel many articles relating to installing different types of Custom ROM’s, rooting method and many types of the article has been posted by XDA Developers. So if you own a Google Pixel and need to unlock the bootloader of your phone, then you are at the right place.
Note: Unlocking Bootloader of your smartphone is not an official process by Google. Thus unlocking the bootloader of your smartphone removes all the restrictions and loads your OS so that it will void the official warranty from Google.

Pre-requisites before unlocking Bootloader of Google Pixel:
Below given boot loading process is only recommended for Google Pixel. Do not try this method on any other phone.
Unlocking the bootloader of your smartphone may erase all your personal data, so before proceeding to the process, it’s better to take a backup of all your personal data including Videos, Music, Contacts, apps and so on.
Before proceeding to the process, enable USB Debugging, developer option, and OEM Lock on your phone.
Make sure that you have at least 70% charge left on your Google Pixel XL.
You also need to download supported USB Drivers for your PC, in order to connect your smartphone to your PC.
Unlock Bootloader of your Google Pixel:
Step 1: Firstly you need to turn off your smartphone completely.
Step 2: Once you have turned off your phone, you need to enter into the bootloader mode / Fastboot mode. For entering into the fastboot mode, you just need to press the Volume down and Power button simultaneously for few seconds.
Step 3: Once you have entered into the Bootloader mode, you need to connect your Google Pixel to your PC through a data cable.
Step 4: If you are over making a connection between your PC and your Google pixel, go to the USB Driver folder where you have downloaded and installed it before.
Step 5: Now under USB Driver you need to open the command prompt. You can open it just by pressing Shift key + Right-click and select the option Open command window here.
Step 6: now type on the command window ”FASTBOOT DEVICES‘ to ensure that you have connected your smartphone to your PC successfully. A list will pop-up, and if the list contains your smartphone name, then you can proceed further, if it does not show your smartphone name, youyou need to re-download and install USB drivers on your PC.
Step 7: once you are done with it, type the command ”FASTBOOT OEM LOCK” in order to unlock the bootloader on your Google Pixel.
Step 8: Now you will be asked that do you really want to unlock the bootloader of your Google Pixel, use volume keys to confirm.
Step 9: A the end type the code ‘‘FASTBOOT REBOOT” in order to reboot your phone.
